Believe it or not, but as many times as I’ve been to Disney World, there are still so many things I haven’t done, bought, or tasted.
Disney World is huge, so there’s always something new (or even old!) to do or try, no matter how many times you’ve visited. So, I’ve set a goal for myself. Every time I travel to the parks and resorts, I’m going to experience at least one, two, three, or as many new things I can or feel like doing while I’m there.
Coming Summer 2018 (Sadly, I’m missing Toy Story Land’s opening. Ugh.), I will once again be on Disney property, which is why I’ve created a sort of to-do list for myself. Check it out!
1. Dole Whip
I’m ashamed to even admit this, but I’ve never tried Dole Whip. I know, I know. I’ve been going to Disney World since I was five and I still haven’t broken down and got the dessert everyone raves about. Plus, it’s vegan (I don’t eat meat or seafood and try to avoid dairy), which is an added bonus. Dole Whip, I’m coming for ya!
2. Purple Wall Photo
I’ve only recently heard of this obsession (I swear I am a true Disney fan!). For those who don’t know, there is a Purple Wall in Tomorrow Land park-goers love to take photos in front of and, recently, Disney World updated the Purple Wall. Anywho, I am going to finally take my first Purple Wall photo — and I’m very excited about it!
3. Bubblegum Wall Photo
Like the Purple Wall, there is also a Bubblegum Wall, but it’s not in Magic Kingdom. It’s located in Epcot. It’s near both exits of Spaceship Earth. Yes, I will also be posing in front of the bright pink wall, because it’s about time I did!
4. Via Napoli
I can tell you this is definitely happening, because reservations have already been booked! I’ve heard so many great things about Via Napoli in Epcot. What’s better than eating some pizza after grabbing a beer at Rose & Crown? My mouth is already watering.
5. A New Pair Of Ears
Can you believe I only have one pair of Ears? They are adorable — and Animal Kingdom-themed. However, I need to expand my collection, immediately. Hopefully, I can get my hands on some Millennial Pink Ears and also a Millennial Pink Spirit Jersey! *fingers crossed*
6. Carrot Cake Cookie
I have been dying to try the famous Carrot Cake Cookie in Hollywood Studios for years. Why haven’t I? I have no idea, but you bet your Mickey Ears I’m going to be stuffing my mouth with the cookie sandwich filled with cream cheese frosting.
7. BaseLine Tap House
Either before or after I munch on my Carrot Cake Cookie, you bet I’ll be heading over to Hollywood Studios’ newest spot, BaseLine Tap House. One thing you should know about me is: I LOVE BEER — a lot. Not only can’t I wait to try the California beers on tap, but also that yummy pretzel with beer cheese.
8. Test Track
I haven’t rode Test Track in a very long time. Actually, not since it’s refurbishment. So, if time allows and depending on Fast Pass availability, I’d definitely like to test out Test Track.
9. Nomad Lounge
Animal Kingdom’s Nomad Lounge has been calling my name for awhile now, but I just haven’t been able to make it there with my busy Disney schedule. One of the reasons I really want to visit the lounge next to Tiffin’s is it has Xingu Black Lager Draft from Brazil. I don’t usually like a dark beer, but this is the smoothest lager I’ve ever tasted and I haven’t had it in a really long time.
10. Pull The Rope
Finally, have you heard about the rope near the Indiana Jones attraction in Hollywood Studios? There is a rope leading down into a well. Next to it a sign reads: “Warning! Do
Not Pull Rope”. Apparently, when you pull the rope you might hear a voice or something else? Now, of course, I want to pull it!
I can’t wait to experience a bunch of new things this summer at Disney World. Let me know if there’s something I’m missing or absolutely need to try during my next visit. I’ll also be sure to update you on what I check off my list!
