2019 ‘MNSSHP’ Tickets On Sale & Other Disney News This Week

Every week I gather the latest news from Walt Disney World, Disneyland Resort, and other Disney parks to help you keep up with all of the changes. Here is the most recent Disney news for the week of Jan. 14-Jan. 20, 2019:

1. MNSSHP Tickets & Dates Are Here

You can now purchase tickets for the 2019 Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party! Here are this year’s dates:

  • August: 16, 20, 23, 27, and  30
  • September: 2, 6, 8, 10, 13, 15, 17, 20, 22, 24, 27, and 29
  • October: 1, 3, 4, 6, 8, 10, 11, 14, 15, 17, 18, 20, 21, 24, 25, 27, 29 and 31
  • November: 1

Tickets range in price from $79 to $135, depending on the day. If you purchase tickets prior to the day of the event, you can save $10, except for Oct. 31, Halloween night, when tickets are always full price. Annual Passholders and Disney Vacation Club members will also receive a discount.

2. H2O Glow Nights Is Returning

Here is some good news for fans of Disney H2O Glow Nights at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon, which debuted last year. The exciting experience is returning to the Disney World water park in 2019 on Thursday and Saturday nights beginning on May 30 and held through Aug. 24.

There will, of course, be appearances by your favorite Toy Story characters throwing quite the nighttime beach party inspired by “Partysaurus Rex.” Plus, guests can enjoy a DJ dance party, speciality food and beverages, an adults-only oasis, and Typhoon Lagoon attractions. Click here to purchase tickets, which are $59 for adults (plus tax) and $54 for children ages 3-9 (plus tax). If you purchase tickets the day of the event, they are $10 more. DVC members and Annual Passholders will receive a discount.

3. So Many Food Guides

There are a lot of fun festivals and events currently happening at both Disney World and Disneyland, which means all kinds of new yummy treats and beverages! Check out all of the following food guides, so you don’t miss a beat:

4. Registration Open For Celebrate Girl Scouts Weekend

You can now register for Disneyland’s Celebrate Girl Scouts weekend, a limited-time experience taking place on select dates in April (27 and 28), May (18 and 19), and June (1, 2, 8, 9, 22, 23, 29, and 30) for troops and individual Girl Scouts (ages 5 to 18) to discover the power of leadership. The starting price is $50. Click here to register and for more information.

5.  A New Giraffe Calf Is Here

A Masai giraffe calf was born at Disney World! Actually, some park guests on Kilimanjaro Safaris at Disney’s Animal Kingdom were lucky enough to even see part of the labor leading up to the baby’s delivery.

6. Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy’s Opening Date

Lighting McQueen’s Racing Academy is set to open on March 31, 2019 at Disney’s Hollywood Studios! The exciting new experience located near Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster is said to be the “untold story of Lightning McQueen — as told by Lightning McQueen.” The show will also feature other Cars characters, including Tow Mater and Cruz Ramirez. You’ll even be able to take a photo with Cruz Ramirez outside the Academy after the show is over.

7. Make Reservations For DCA Food & Wine Festival Events

You can now make reservations for signature events happening at this year’s Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival, running from March 1 through April 23, 2019. The events are said to fill up quickly, so be sure to make reservations before it’s too late!

8. The 2019 Pro Bowl Pep Rally Date Is here

If you’re a football fan, you might want to check out the 2019 Pro Bowl Pep Rally at the Marketplace Stage in Disney Springs. On Jan. 26, you can enjoy NFL team mascots and cheerleaders, NFL and Disney Trivia, a DJ Dance Party, and so much more! Shows will take place at 4 p.m., 5 p.m., and 6 p.m. There will also be a pop-up NFL Shop featuring all kinds of football merchandise.
