I haven’t posted anything recently because, honestly, I didn’t know the right thing to say or if I should use this platform to say it. But, I thought about it and realized I wanted, needed, and should say something.

I will never understand what minorities and people of color deal with daily. But, allow me to say this, I don’t stand for racism, prejudice, hatred, injustice, or violence. I wish this world was an equal one filled with love and peace for all, but sadly that’s not the reality. There’s no denying things need to change. I will always try to use my voice for good, speak up when it’s necessary, and to help those in need. Can I do better? Always. I’m far from perfect. I still have a lot to learn.

It boggles my mind that race and ethnicity still cause so much division. WE ARE ALL PEOPLE. Believe me when I say, I see you, I hear you, and I support you.
.
Even though I’ve been quiet, I’m not ignoring what’s going on in the world. And know that if or when I post Disney-related things, I fully recognize there are bigger things going on right now. Since my account is mainly about sharing news and tips, I want to make sure you’re all informed, especially with Walt Disney World reopening. So, I will continue to keep you up to date, but I am by no means trying to make less of a situation.

You know what I need right now? To eat some soft-serve in Cars Land. Yes, I’m overwhelmed too. 🥴🤯 The latest updates are a lot and I already know it’s hard to keep track of everything. I hate to say it, but this is only just the beginning. With the current state of the country, this is what Disney has to do to ensure everyone’s safety and I don’t envy them one bit for having to handle all of this. Sometimes I hate change and knowing Walt Disney World will be a VERY different experience moving forward is a lot to digest, but, hey, there are worst things in life, right? Let’s try to stay as positive as possible! And knowing we’re all in this together makes this new, surreal, and wild ride somewhat better.

Now, for the latest updates. Here are some highlights:
.
❌ FastPass+ is temporarily suspended and all existing FP reservations are cancelled
.
❌ Extra Magic Hours are dunzo (for now)
.
❌ No more 180-day booking window for dining and other experiences — it is now 60 days
.
❌ All dining, experiences, and Disney dining plans are cancelled
.
❌ Disney dining plans are temporarily no longer offered
.
➡️ Booking windows for both dining and experiences will reopen at a later date with limited availability
.
➡️ Guests with existing resort reservations will have priority access to the reservation system when it becomes available
.
➡️ When dining and experiences reservations resume, those who had exiting reservations will receive priority access to rebook
.
➡️ For park experiences and dining locations, guests will need both a park reservation AND valid admission before they can rebook reservations

In the words of Judy Geller, “That’s a lot of information to get in 30 seconds.” 😯 Yeah, that’s how yesterday felt with the reopening dates and other details that dropped. BUT, we’re not done yet. There are still so many unknowns. And the governor still has to approve the plans. I have a post that I will repeatedly update (link in bio), so keep an eye on that.

As for my thoughts on the reopening dates, I feel better with July and that Disney isn’t trying to rush anything. I had reservations for June and was still uncertain if I’d visit if they reopened then. Now I don’t have to worry about that. I do have an August trip that I booked awhile ago and I definitely feel more comfortable traveling to WDW in August compared to now, but I’ll have to wait and see as my trip gets closer to see what happens.

🚨IT’S HAPPENING. We finally know when Walt Disney World wants to reopen: JULY 11 for Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom and JULY 15 for Epcot and Hollywood Studios.

There will also be a reservation system put in place for guests to access the parks, but details haven’t been revealed yet so stay tuned.
.
The plans still have to be approved by both the OC mayor and the Florida governor before anything is official. But, based on how quickly Universal’s reopening plans were approved, it seems like these dates are most likely definite.
.

Yesterday was supposed to be the last day to exper

Yesterday was supposed to be the last day to experience Spaceship Earth before it closed today, May 26, for its extensive refurbishment. 🌐 Who knows what’s going to happen now due to the park closures. And who knows what will happen with all of Epcot’s other future transformations.
.
There’s a lot of unknowns moving forward, that’s for sure. It’s definitely going to be awhile until the parks return to what we once knew and loved. Maybe the parks won’t go back to that “normal” ever again. We don’t know. 🤷‍♀️ Whatever the case, I do believe that the famous Disney magic we all can’t get enough of won’t be lost when we’re finally allowed back inside the parks. Yes, the experiences will be different, but it’s all about what we make of it.

Seeing as it’s my birthday, I figured I’d actually get dressed and put on makeup (the first time for both in over two months!) The hair? Well, it’s a lost cause since I’m in desperate need of a haircut (you don’t want to see my bangs), so a hat is permanently attached to my head.
